HV Community Hockey Coordinator Position Available→

 Do you want to be part of Hockey Victoria’s new Community Hockey Team?  Are you passionate about increasing participation in club sport?  Is female participation in sport important to you?  Are you enthusiastic about growing the sport of hockey within Victoria?  If so the role of Community Hockey Coordinator may be the one for you. 

You would be a key driver in HV’s recruitment and retention programs (e.g. Roadshow school clinics, Hookin2hockey and intra-club programs) and its Inclusion/ Diversity programs (Access All Abilities, Fair Go, Sport!, multi-cultural and indigenous).  You would facilitate club development and HockeyEd and be responsible for developing and implementing HV’s Female Participation Strategy.

U13 and U14 State Team nominations

Hockey Victoria are now accepting nominations from eligible U13 and U14 players for the 2015 State Teams to compete at the National or Invitational Championship in 2015.

Hockey Victoria will be sending a 1st and a 2nd team to the U13 National Championships in 2015.

  • U13 Girls 25 Sep to 2 Oct 2015 Sydney, NSW
  • U13 Boys 25 Sep to 2 Oct 2015 Darwin, NT
  • U14 Invitational Dates TBC (late Sep) Venue TBC

Hockey Victoria anticipate sending U14's teams to an invitational championship in NSW. No details have been confirmed regarding this. More information will be sent out once finalised.

Alll players who nominate will be observed and assessed in one/some of the following:

  • Club games
  • Zone training/trials
  • JSC

From these assessments and in using feedback data from the HV Junior Academy, a selected list of 45 players will be invited to attend the trials. This list will be published on the HV website after the JSC and only those players will attend the trial. Players not selected to trial will be provided with a feedback report to take back to their clubs and coaches. Only players who nominate will be assessed by HV State AIO's and considered for selection to attend trials.

Junior Elite Skill Development Days (July)

In the July holidays, Hockey Victoria will once again be conducting three Elite Skill Development Days running from 9.00am – 3.00pm at the State Netball Hockey Centre and Footscray Hockey Centre.

Monday 06/07/15 (Program 1) @ State Netball Hockey Centre
Tuesday 07/07/15 (Program 2) @ Footscray Hockey Club
Wednesday 08/07/15 (Program 1) @ Footscray Hockey Club 

The Elite Skill Development Days are targeted to 10 - 18 year olds who have played at zone or higher level.
