TEM State Champs Wrap!

A huge congratulations to all of our TEM representatives that took part in the State Championships tournaments over the past few weeks in Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin and Cairns. We have come home with an abundance of medals, well done on your performances!

Special mentions must go to Olly Marshall for winning the gold in the U13 Boys tournament, whilst Gary Anquetil has been selected as the coach for the Australian Womens Over 35 team for the World Cup to be held in Canberra next month. Great effort!

JUNIORS:

U13B - The Vic Blues (Ola Marshall) won the GOLD medal after finishing on top after all of their pool games, whilst the Whites (Nick Spincer) finished off in a respectable 8th.

U13G - The Vic Blues (Eugenie Rickard) finished off with the SILVER medal by goal difference only, whilst the Whites (Gemma Kahanoff & Ruby Morrisby) finished 6th in an extremely competitive showing.


WOMEN:

Over 35 Women - Anna Clothier & Jacqui Gibbons finished off in 5th place after winning their final match vs SA 2-1.

Over 45 Women - Megan Boyd, Jacky Jacob, Teresa Leonard also finished off in 5th place after winning their final match over ACT 3-2.

Over 50 Women - Fran Moodie's team finished off the tournament in 4th position.

Over 55 Women - Kris Tulloch and Trish Young finished with the BRONZE medal after a dominant 4-0 win over QLD.

Over 60 Women - Mary Lofthouse also won the BRONZE medal, defeating QLD 4-1 to finish 3rd.
 

MEN:

Over 35 Men - Greg Koster finished off with the SILVER medal after a very narrow 3-4 loss to NSW in the final

Over 40 Men - Cam MacPhie's team finished off with the BRONZE medal. After narrowly missing out on a GF spot in their semi-final draw, they finished off in style with a comprehensive 3-1 win over ACT.

Over 65 Men - Alan Leary's boys still sitting in 7th place after 4 games in the pool stages.

Over 70 Men - Barry Eager's team is still in 2nd place after 3 games in the pool stages.
