WEEKLY PREVIEW #9

Who’s ready to party!?

This weekend is our biggest home round of the year with both grounds full of action over the course of tonight and tomorrow. Six of our senior teams will be playing at home from 12:30 right through til 6:30, with the now infamous TEM BBQ sizzling in the background and music pumping in the ears. And the music doesn’t stop there!

Our biggest social function of the year so far, the “iPod Shuffle Night”, will be held at the clubrooms this Saturday from 7:30pm. All songs have been sold, but everyone is encouraged to stick around and buy a $10 ticket for a night of utter brilliance!

See you out and around the grounds, it’s going to be another big weekend! #gotem

Performance of the week: Well done Women’s Pennant C! The girls played a great match for their first win of the season in front of a great crowd to support Vetta in her 200th.

Round 9 Senior Fixtures:

MEN

MVL1 (6th) vs Old Xaverians (10th) | Sat 20th June | 3:30pm @ H1

The MVL1 boys had a solid win last week against Latrobe to put a bit of distance between themselves and the bottom 6. And the stakes couldn’t be much higher this round, as there is only one point separating 2nd-6th position on the ladder! They will play an underrated Old Xavs outfit who are capable of beating anyone on their day, so a full 70 minute effort from the boys will be needed to extend their good form.

MVL1R (4th) vs Old Xaverians (10th) | Sat 20th June | 5:00pm @ H1

MPA (8th) vs Footscray (10th) | Sat 20th June | 2:00pm @ H2

WPL (10th) vs Footscray (8th) | Sat 20th June | 2:00pm @ H1

The WPL girls had a disappointing last outing with not much going right in their 5-0 loss at the hands of Altona. There is a great chance to atone this week though as Footscray sit only slightly above them on the ladder, with pivotal points up for grabs come the end of the season. Get down to cheer them on it what could prove to be an important ‘6 point’ match.
