WEEKLY PREVIEW #13

More milestones!

This week, we celebrate one of the leaders of our club in the MVL1 Captain Evan Jewell (EJ). Evan has contributed a mountain load of time and effort into the club in his many years, including coaching many junior teams as well as the PL/PLR squad. He has also played at a high level for a significant period of time, and has driven the MVL1 team to many successes already in the 2015 year. Well done old man, it’s great to have you around!

Get down to Melbourne Uni on Saturday from 2pm to celebrate Evan Jewell's 250th

On the field, there are plenty of chances for you to support the club. As always, you are welcome to support every senior team, but either of the options below sounds a little more achieveable! Either…..

a)    Get on down to H1 on Saturday from 12:30-5pm as we aim to take down Doncaster in 3 consecutive matches.

b)   Get around the top-3 Mens teams playing out at Melbourne Uni from 12:30-5pm, also on Saturday. Really vital points up for grabs for all 3 teams!

Also, our juniors are back in town this week! Unfortunately there’s not many home matches this week as the kids play from as far as Gippsland to Ballarat, but check out their schedule below to see how you can support.

Good luck everyone! #gotem

Milestones:
Evan Jewell (MVL1) – 250 games

Performance of the week: Goes to the MPA boys. In torrid conditions, they came back from 2 goals down to smash through Waverley 3-2 in Needles 400th match.

Round 13 Senior Fixtures:

MEN

MVL1 (3rd) vs Melbourne University (1st) | Sat 18th July | 2:00pm @ MUH

Massive match for the MVL1 boys this weekend! The boys bounced back into winning form last week defeating Gippsland Bulls 4-2, but that means nothing this Saturday. In one of the most thrilling matches of the year, the boys came back from 3 goals down against MUHC last outing in the Live Stream match to force a 3-3 draw. They can’t count on that happening again though, as MUHC are now 9 points clear on top of the table, a real force in the MVL1 comp. A full 70-minute effort is needed to get the men over the line!

MVL1R (2nd) vs Melbourne University (3rd) | Sat 18th July | 12:30pm @ MUH
